Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year.  This was the first year that we were alone without any family for Christmas, and I must admit, I didnt love it.  I love living here in New York, but having no family around during holidays is a bummer!  Santa, aka my parents brought the kids all new bikes!  They love them and have been riding them all the time...in our apartment!  Its dang cold outside, so they just ride them around in our tiny apartment until the spring when it warms up a little bit.  Hope everyone had a great Christmas!!

Strong Museum of Play

We heard about this way cool Children's museum in Rochester, so we decided to take the kids a couple weeks ago. It was really neat and the kids loved it. It even has the original Sesame Street set that we got to paly on! We decided to get a year pass so we can go again and again!

This room seriously made me so nauseous! It leans the wrong way so it totally messes with your head. Blah! I had to get out of there!

Addiction is no joking matter...

Addiction ruins lives and destroy families. I am hesitant to write about this, because its such a personal battle, but I need to get it out. Someone in our family is struggling with an addiction and has hit rock bottom. I just dont know what to do. Shes constantly strung out. Kenley has been introduced to reddy-whip. Its all she wants. She stands at the fridge door and screams until she get it. She lives for it. Anyone know of a good toddler rehab center?

The Zoo

We took the kids to the zoo the last week. The Syracuse zoo is the perfect size in my opinion! Just enough animals to see, but not too many that it takes all day to walk through. The weather was sooo nice! The zoo is on top of a hill and this is the view. so pretty!

Cousins!!

Pauls sister and her family live in Maryland, so she brought her kids up this weekend help get us settled. The kids loved playing together! It was a little hectic at times, 6 kids under 7 in an apartment, but oh so fun!!

The Move

Well we made it to New York! It was a long day, but we survived! It is just so beautiful here! We are now just getting settled and trying to get adjusted to the time change! Here are some pictures of moving day. Paul in the Cleveland airport. We had a long layover there.

This is Mason sitting in the truck that shipped our cars here. He was in little boy heaven for a few minutes!
Kenley pacing back and forth in the Cleveland airport.
Almost to Syracuse!

More Birthday Fun...

Mason chose (after lots of coaxing from me) The Cheesecake Factory for his Birthday dinner. These are just some pictures I took at the dinner.

FIVE!

Mason turned 5 on Thursday! I am still in shock that he is already 5! His party was at pump it up! That place is so much fun! My mom was still in town and was able to go. I think her and I had more fun in the bounce things than the kids!
In other news, we are just packing, packing, packing! Our cars are on their way to NY right now, and the movers will be here on Wednesday. We fly out the 20th and will start our new life in Syracuse! Oh, and I so wasnt kidding about wanting lots of visitors!!

Cindy's Wedding!

We spent Labor Day Weekend in Boise for my cousin Cindy's wedding. It was so pretty and soo fun! Mason was the ring bearer and Hadley was the flower girl that wouldnt walk down the aisle. Paul had to stay home and study, so my mom came here to help me fly with the kids. It was so fun to spend time with my family that I never get to see.

Learned...

This morning was Paul's graduation! Hooray! Finally! Paul's mom and dad came down last night for the graduation. I figured since I would have the extra hands, I wouldnt need a babysitter and would just bring the kiddies along. Bad idea! There wasnt much sleep going on last night, so they were all grumpy, especially Kenley! As the processional was starting, all of the directors, faculty and staff came in first. We were sitting on the end of the aisle, and Kenley let out a nice loud sqeaul and threw her bottle at the physician assistant program director. Nice. About an hour into the ceremony, Mason declared "this is just as worse as church but boring-er." Overall, I am glad the kids got to see their dad graduate! They cheered loud as Paul walked across the stage. We are all so proud of him!!
